dating 1350 - 1400
Belt purse of simple hemispherical shape in medium size. Its size is based on the surviving front part of the back pocket from Dordrecht (DDT DDT 7501.564.001) and a decorated front panel from Greifswald.
The belt loops and the shape of the front piece are based on contemporary depictions (e.g. on the sculptural decoration of the Nuremberg Frauenkirche of 1360). The attachment of the belt loops is based on the original from Puck, Poland (Blusziewicz 2017) which was probably used more often than it may seem.
The purse is made mostly of cowhide leather with outer pouches of chrome-tanned calfskin. The seams are made with machine-made linen grommets.
