Dated to 13th - 15th century (Marcinkowski 2009)
Various medieval leather pouches for carrying small objects and coins were found in Elblag (Poland). This one seems to have an outer seam using a wider thread or a leather thong. Similarly made pieces were found for instance in Wroclaw, Schleswig and Opava, and the seam seems to have a decorative purpose. Pouches like this were usually worn in bigger containers, or could be worn hanged on a belt.
The whole piece is made out of thin vegetable tanned goat leather and is hand sewn by parchment strap.
